The Stylists
Jesse Furlan is a highly sought after Australian stylist with over 20 years of cutting and styling experience. Jesse’s collaborative approach to working with her clients has earned her a reputation as one of the most innovative and intuitive stylists in the industry.
This approach also underpins her vision for Bloe Salons—which she sees as a space for creativity and collaboration within the Byron community.
Jesse has had the privilege of being the personal stylist to Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, two of the most influential figures in the Australian entertainment industry. She has also been responsible for looking after Chris and Liam Hemsworth for the past two years, as well as Matt Damon when he is in Australia. One of Jesse's favorite experiences was looking after Melissa McArthy when she was filming in Australia and on the press tour with her husband.
Jesse is known for her emphasis on cutting the natural movement and her love for fringes and face frames. She believes that a fringe or a face frame is an easy way to give someone a little bit of a change without cutting all their hair off—although if you’re into cutting all your hair off—she loves short hair!
Having grown up in a hair salon, Jesse has lived her passion almost her entire life and her skill has taken her around the world. She’s excited for this next chapter with Bloe Salons and hopes you’ll be part of it.
Jesse Furlan
In Sam’s 16 years of experience in the industry, he’s earned recognition from some of the most prestigious awards in Australia. He was a 2019 Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA) Newcomer of the Year finalist for his CULT collection which was also recognized internationally. He was recognized as a finalist on the AHFA Artistic Team of the Year with three other stylist for their collection Mystique Cosmos.
He’s assisted some of Australia’s top session stylists for countless fashion shows over the years including being part of the Balmain Hair Couture Creative Team assisting Travis Balcke.
Sam believes in pushing things forward in the industry. He flies around the country educating stylists about Session Salon, Product Knowledge, Cutting and Blow Drying as a Kevin Murphy Styling Educator.
Most of all, Sam believes in making his clients feel comfortable not only in his chair but with their natural hair, He believes in enhancing the natural texture and colour rather than covering it up. This creates really good, long lasting connections with the clients he works with.
